11th Annual Love Potions Was A Success!

Philadoptables’ 11th Annual Love Potions event was held on 4/9/22 at the Broken Goblet Brewery in Bensalem and was a huge success!

Our host this year was NBC 10 Traffic Reporter, Sheila Watko, who is fast becoming an amazing foster and advocate for so many local rescues. Stateside Vodka, one of our sponsors, donated cases of Vodka for a signature drink called “Love Potions #9 Puptail.

Broken Goblet also offered a signature craft beer, which we named “Alley Cat Ale” and 100% of the proceeds from both were donated back to Philadoptables. It was a fun night with lots of baskets and 50/50s.

Thank you, Sheila Watko, Broken Goblet, and their awesome staff, Stateside Vodka, our fabulous volunteers, and of course, everyone that came out to celebrate Animal Rescue and support Philadoptables.

Candy Rescued in Northeast Philadelphia

Candy was trapped in Northeast Philly. A citizen reached out about 3 cats she was feeding outside that needed help. Pat Maher responded and trapped Candy and took her to get spayed at Forgotten Cats. Candy went to a temporary foster home where she was having trouble eating and had a strong odor coming from her mouth. It was determined that Candy needed dental work and Philadoptables sponsored her much needed dental surgery at Forgotten Cats where she had 7 rotten teeth removed. Candy is feeling better already and is a happier cat as a result of the dental! Community cats like Candy require dental care and vet care just like house cats and we are honored that we could help Candy feel better!

Free Pet Food Pantry & 100+ Pets Vaccinated!

Over 100+ pets were vaccinated and given supplies at the latest free Pet Food Pantry and Vaccine Clinic! Hosted by Philly Pets Vax Project, Life Foundation, Harley’s Haven Dog Rescue, and Philadoptables, the event happened in less than ideal weather, because rain or shine, the dedication to the animals in our community is strong!

Thanks to our supporters, we can assist with these events by lessening the burden on struggling families with pets, shelters, and our animal community network. Way to go, everyone!

5 New TNR Traps for The Cat Collaborative

Meow!

The Cat Collaborative has been hard at work helping cats in our community. Since November 2021, 187 cats and kittens have been through TCC’s TNR program. Of the 187 cats trapped, 69% have found rescue placement!

We were happy to help our friends at TCC continue their life saving work by purchasing five brand new traps!
