Mid July morning, our hearts were touched by a plea for help. A woman, recently displaced and living in her car, had one concern greater than her own wellbeing—two tiny kittens she found abandoned in a box. Despite her difficult circumstances, she had been caring for them the best she could, leaving them safely on the porch of her former home when she could no longer keep them with her.
One of the kittens, an orange tabby, was in urgent need of medical attention. Thankfully, our friends at Green Street Rescue stepped in and took in the siblings. But the little orange one was in rough shape—he had wounds on both legs (now cleaned of maggots), an inflamed and painful bottom, and severe diarrhea. He is now on medication, receiving pain relief, and fighting hard to heal.
Philadoptables has sent a $300 donation to help cover his care, but the veterinary bills are mounting, and Green Street Rescue could use all the support they can get.
If you’re able to help, donations to Green Street Rescue will go directly toward medical care, comfort, and recovery for this sweet kitten and others like him.
💛 The good news? His brother—the adorable tuxedo kitten—is doing well and thriving under Green Street’s care.
Every dollar makes a difference. Thank you for being part of a community that refuses to look away.
Let’s give these kittens the future they deserve.
