Support for Hillside SPCA

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, understandably shelters have been limiting their hours, changing intake policies, etc. On March 31st Hillside SPCA in Pottsville , PA put out an urgent plea for help:

“We’re the only shelter currently open, so we’re getting all the calls for the cruelty cases. We’re getting all of the drop-offs for the strays. Our numbers are rising; our donations are down. We are getting back-ordered on litter and wet food. We’re in a crisis right now with everything hitting at once,” said Donna Boyd, a member of Hillside SPCA’s board of directors.

We reached out with a donation of $250 to their general fund. You can find out more about them at hillsidespca.com.

Wishing Scrabble a speedy recovery!

Philadoptables recently donated $100 to Catadelphia toward Scrabble’s care! Scrabble is a community cat from Germantown with an injured leg. Turns out, after a vet exam, she needed her leg amputated.

Helping Rosie with Delco Dawgs

Three weeks ago Rosie’s info was sent in an urgent email from ACCT Philly- this sad and hurting sweetie had a tail injury that left her bone showing, horrible leg wound, was thin, and dehydrated.

We offered $250 in funding toward medical costs for an ACCT approved rescue to save Rosie. The angels at DELCO DAWGS did not hesitate to help Rosie.

We love seeing updates on this lady- she is doing amazing! Your donations to Philadoptables made this possible!

China’s road to recovery with Providence Animal Center

On Sunday we read a very upsetting post about an absolutely adorable and super sweet Pittie gal surrendered to ACCT Philly with a gaping leg wound and open pyometra.

Poor China must have been in so much pain but she remained sweet and calm. She was time stamped for the end of the day and one of our amazing rescue partners Providence Animal Center pulled her to safely. We heard about it and made a donation toward her care. China had surgery yesterday and we heard that she is feeling SO much better. Your donations allow us to help the most urgent of animals so thank you!

Jazzy’s Story

We saw Jazzy’s photo in an ACCT Philly rescue email- poor senior girl Jazzy was sick and sad. We donated $250 to the amazing rescue who pulled Jazzy from the shelter, Senior Dog Haven and Hospice!

Update from the rescue 3/17/20: Ms. Jazzy has been slowly adjusting to her new life. She is a shy and nervous little gal, so we’ve been taking it slow and letting her decompress. For the first time today she even sought out some snuggles. A groom will be down the road for her, but we want to make sure we wait until she’s fully recovered from her bout of pancreatitis before we put her through anything too overwhelming for her. She is a special little lady and with some time and patience, we know she will shine!
