Full bellies are happy pet parents is what we and our friends at the Life Foundation aim for!

Thanks to our generous supporters we were able to drop off thousands of pounds of pet food today to help the community members in need! To the volunteers, organizations, donors, and community members who hosted food drives, thank you for making the pet food pantry a success and for your dedication to the animals in our community.

Community Cat Gets Lifesaving Care for Injured Paw

When Community Cat, Ashtar, found himself with an injured paw, a good Samaritan and cat lover reached out to Philadoptables for help!

One evening, Ashtar showed up for his nightly outdoor meal when his caregiver noticed he could hardly walk and had a severely swollen paw.
Concerned for his well-being, his caregivers immediately contacted us for help with his injury.

Here at Philadoptables, we love Community Cats and their well-being, especially this winter, is so important to us! We offered to cover Ashtar’s medical care and neuter surgery.

Thank you to his caregivers for going the extra mile to find help and care for him. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of Community Cats.

Love and Support for 14-year-old Justine and His Best Friend

It has been a busy here with requests for medical help for owned and unowned pets.

Pup Justice and his owner live in their car and have been befriended by two wonderful community cat feeders in Bucks County, Joy and Carol! They make sure both men have what they need to eat. 14 year old Justice was severely in need of medical care- he was not eating, has belly issues and has red swollen eyes.

Our friend Carol was able to get him an appointment at the vet today. Justice was able to get medical tests and much needed medicine.

We were able to cover his vet bill thanks to your support!

Philadoptables Sponsored Spay & Neuter Clinic – OVER 40 Cats Served

We are honored to donate $4,000 and sponsor a spay/neuter clinic for our friends at The Cat Collaborative!

From TCC, “FInishing out 2022 as strong as we started it! This past week, thanks to the generosity of Philadoptables, we were able to host a spay/neuter clinic at Raymond Rosen in North Philly! 36 cats were sterilized by the Fido Fixers van from Providence Animal Center and another 7 received updated vaccinations and flea treatment (Bravecto, no less)!! We were also able to send the cats home with a gift bag AND a carrier to keep (thanks to the generosity of many people and other groups).

The residents were so appreciative of our assistance and although we had to turn a number of people away because of we were totally over capacity, we ended up with a waiting list for the next event – now we just need a sponsor 🤪😻🤪😻!

And, finally, HUGE thanks to the incredible TCC volunteers who went above and beyond to make this event a success 💕💕💕. An additional 3 cats were trapped during the event who went to Forgotten Cats to get fixed making it a total of 46 cats who received care!! Isn’t it amazing what collaboration can do?!?! ❤️😻❤️😻❤️

Board Member, Ali Swiatkowski and Rescue Pup Ember Visit PHL17

Board member, Ali Swiatkowski, was featured on PHL17 with adoptable pup, Ember, from Furry Tales Animal Rescue this Friday morning to promote the 2023 Hunks for Hounds calendar. (Read the full PHL17 article here)

Ember is sweet girl rescued as a stray from Texas.  She was taken to a shelter in very poor health with mange, eye and ear infections and severely emaciated.  Thankfully, Furry Tales Animal Rescue stepped in and had her transported to Pennsylvania where she has spent the last few weeks recovering with her foster mom, Gina.  Ember is approximately 4 years old, still underweight at 45 lbs, and thought to be a lab mix.  She is good with other dogs (she currently lives with two) and with kids.  She’s very calm and loves to relax on the couch and snuggle.

Ember may not be immediately ready for adoption, but if you are interested or have questions, please contact Furry Tales Animal Rescue.  Please check them out on Facebook too.
