When we saw the email from ACCT Philly asking for a rescue to help with two dogs receiving emergency medical care, we were devastated to read that a third pup had already died from smoke inhalation. Betty and her housemate Princess were offsite at a animal hospital in critical condition. Princess did not make it and Betty is fighting for her life. Our amazing friends at DELCO DAWGS have stepped up for Betty who is still on oxygen at the hospital. We donated $300 via Venmo (thank you to our supporters!! ) and were hoping others would consider donating a few dollars if you are able. Delco Dawgs does not shy away from dogs in need of medical care. Please send healing thoughts for sweet Betty.

Sweet Athena on the Road to Recovery
Introducing Athena A precious sweet girl that we are honored to donate $300 toward her care! Read about her lifesaving journey from our friends at PURR below. To support their work, learn more here.
“Athena is a roughly 4 year old calico girl who once had a home of her own until just over 2 years ago when her former family moved and left her behind outside to figure the world out on her own
An elderly, disabled neighbor quickly adopted her into his small colony, but he saw her decline, and didn’t know where to turn for help. And then, on Sunday, one of our TCC trappers spotted her – a dirty, desperate cat. She slowly walked right up and into the trap with the door held open. Sadly, in the last couple of years, this sweet, sad girl, who once knew indoor love and comfort, has been destroyed by the harsh reality of adapting to life on the street. Athena is FIV+/FeLV+ and heartworm +
She also has pododermatitis (pillow paw) so her back paws are very raw and a bit bloody. We noticed a small chunk of her tongue missing, and it’s possible she may need some dental work. She’s also absolutely filthy (though now that she’s a few days out from her spay we are going to start attempting small baths to get her clean). She’ll be at our facility for the next 30 days getting meds for her pillow paw while we try to navigate what’s next for her.
Despite everything she has been dealt, she has remained sweet as ever and purrs if you even just walk up to talk to her. She absolutely loves affection & attention. We are grateful she has an amazing appetite and has started using the litterbox!
We don’t know exactly what’s next for her, but she is already so loved by everyone that’s met her and has an army of people rooting for her. Please consider making a donation for her as we do anticipate some additional expenses for her care. Athena couldn’t be more appreciative of your kindness.”
Lost Pup Finds Help
In a beautiful act of compassion, a police officer found and took in a stray dog in need. Instead of turning a blind eye or simply passing by, this officer’s heart swelled with empathy. Recognizing the vulnerability of the lost pup, he made a decision that would change both of their lives forever—he chose to care for her.
When it came time for the dog’s check-up and shots, we stepped in to donate $125 toward her care. It’s a small gesture with a big impact, showcasing the power of kindness and community.
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. 🐾❤️ #KindnessMatters #RescueDog #CommunitySupport
Code Red Willow’s Urgent Rescue
In a world often filled with heartache, there are glimmers of hope that shine brightly through the darkness. Today, we want to shine a spotlight on one such beacon of hope: J&CO Dog Rescue. Their recent heroic efforts in rescuing Willow, a beloved family pet, and ensuring she remained with her family despite the challenges they faced have left us in awe.
When she fell ill with parvovirus, a highly contagious and often deadly disease, her family faced a gut-wrenching decision. With limited financial means to cover the cost of treatment, they surrendered Willow.
Recognizing the bond between Willow and her family, they stepped in to provide the necessary medical care without hesitation. Their commitment to keeping families together and giving every pet a fighting chance is nothing short of remarkable. “We could not let a dog lose it’s life today and especially one who has an owner who cares and loves her. Our intent is to get the medical care Willow needs and to reunite her back with her owner. There are too many homeless dogs in shelters, in rescues, and a strays to not reunite a loving owner and her companion.” – J & Co Rescue Facebook Update
In recognition of their extraordinary work, we donated $400 to assist in covering the costs of Willow’s care and supporting the ongoing efforts of J & Co Dog Rescue. Their compassion knows no bounds, and Willow’s story serves as a poignant reminder of the power of love and community.
