A Sold-Out Day on the Green: Thank You for Supporting

What an incredible day on the course!

On Monday, August 17, Philadoptables hosted our 8th Annual Charity Golf Outing at Cedarbrook, bringing together golfers, sponsors, volunteers, friends, and supporters for a day of golf, friendly competition, and, most importantly, giving back to animals in need.

This year’s outing was officially sold out, and we could not be more grateful to everyone who helped make the day such a success.

Every registration, sponsorship, contest entry, donation, and show of support helped raise funds that allow Philadoptables to continue our mission of helping animals and supporting the people and organizations working every day to give them brighter futures.

Congratulations to Our Golfers!

No golf outing would be complete without a little friendly competition!

Congratulations to our tournament winners and to everyone who received recognition throughout the day, including our longest drive and other on-course contest winners.

Whether you walked away with bragging rights or simply enjoyed a great day on the course, thank you for coming out, having fun, and supporting Philadoptables along the way.

A special shout-out to Back Swing Golf Events for bringing even more energy to the course with the fun “Beat the Pro” contest!

A Very Special Thank You to Our Sponsors

An event like this simply would not be possible without the businesses, organizations, families, and individuals who choose to stand behind Philadoptables.

A huge thank you to our Platinum Sponsor; BluSky, for their generous support of this year’s outing.

We are also incredibly grateful to our Gold Sponsors:

International Union of Operating Engineers Local 542

Thank you to Tito’s Handmade Vodka, our Beverage Sponsor, for helping us celebrate at the 19th Hole after a full day on the course.

We also want to recognize our Silver Sponsors:

Women Beyond the Tee

The Arrimour Group

We loved having Renewal of Greater NYC set up near the putting and chipping area, where they spent the day connecting with golfers and being part of the event.

And thank you to SERVPRO Team Fabiani, our Golf Cart Sponsor, for helping keep everyone moving around the course.

Thank You to Our Tee Box and Hole Sponsors

Every hole represented another business, organization, family, or friend who chose to support our mission.

A big shout-out to our Tee Box Sponsors:

To Our Volunteers: We Couldn’t Do It Without You

Behind every successful Philadoptables event is a team of volunteers giving their time, energy, and heart.

From planning and setup to registration, contests, raffles, photos, keeping golfers moving, and everything that happens behind the scenes, thank you.

Our volunteers continue to show up for Philadoptables and for the animals we work so hard to help, and we are incredibly lucky to have you.

And Finally, Thank You to Everyone Who Showed Up

To every golfer, sponsor, volunteer, donor, attendee, and supporter who joined us on Monday: thank you for making our 8th Annual Charity Golf Outing such a memorable one.

A sold-out event is exciting, but what means even more is knowing that so many people chose to spend the day supporting a shared mission.

The funds raised through events like our Charity Golf Outing allow Philadoptables to continue helping animals and making a difference where it is needed most.

We hope you enjoyed the day, made a few great shots, shared plenty of laughs, and maybe even left with a prize or two.

Thank you for teeing up for the animals. We can’t wait to do it all again!

Philadoptables Helps Bring New Play Yards to ACCT Philly, Giving Shelter Dogs Space to Heal, Play, and Find Homes

At Philadoptables, helping vulnerable animals is more than a mission—it’s the driving force behind everything we do.

That mission was on full display this month as Philadoptables joined fellow donors, supporters, and the ACCT Philly team to celebrate the completion of the shelter’s newly renovated outdoor dog play yards, a transformational project that will enrich the lives of thousands of homeless dogs for years to come.

Earlier this year, Philadoptables proudly contributed $10,000 as a Guardian-level sponsor, joining a community of organizations and individuals committed to giving Philadelphia’s shelter dogs the care, dignity, and opportunities they deserve.

For many shelter dogs, these play yards represent far more than a place to exercise.

They provide the opportunity to run freely, release stress, build confidence, participate in meet-and-greets with potential adopters, safely socialize with other dogs, and simply experience the joy of being a dog while waiting for a forever family.

The newly completed project includes:

  • Four new outdoor play yards
  • Renovated existing yards
  • Specialized K9 artificial turf designed for animal health
  • Upgraded fencing
  • Shade structures and enrichment features
  • Dedicated outdoor space for dogs recovering from kennel cough, allowing them to safely enjoy fresh air and exercise without risking the health of other shelter animals

Watching the dogs explore their new surroundings was a powerful reminder of why Philadoptables exists.

Long before Philadoptables became a nonprofit, Founder Michelle spent several days each week volunteering at Philadelphia’s city shelter—photographing homeless animals, writing adoption biographies, networking pets in need, and doing whatever she could to help them find loving homes.

In 2012, Philadoptables helped fund the construction of three outdoor play yards and a pavilion at ACCT Philly. More than a decade later, returning to help support the next generation of play spaces is a meaningful continuation of that commitment.

“Helping at-risk animals is what drives Philadoptables,” said Michelle, Founder of Philadoptables. “Our mission is built around improving the lives of homeless animals while strengthening the community that cares for them. Seeing these dogs run, play, and simply enjoy being outside was incredibly emotional. Safe outdoor spaces give shelter dogs the opportunity to exercise, decompress, interact with potential adopters, and experience enrichment that is essential to both their physical and emotional well-being.”

Research has consistently shown that enrichment plays a vital role in reducing stress, improving behavior, and increasing adoption success. A dog that has the opportunity to run, explore, and interact in a natural environment is better able to show its true personality—creating stronger connections with potential adopters.

The play yards feature thoughtfully designed enrichment areas, agility equipment, shaded gathering spaces, durable artificial turf, and open areas where dogs can safely play, relax, and spend quality time with volunteers and prospective families.

During the celebration, Philadoptables also recognized the leadership and dedication of the ACCT Philly team whose vision helped bring the project to life. Check out the photos here!

“We’re incredibly grateful to Sarah, Dayna, Connie, and everyone at ACCT Philly for their unwavering commitment to Philadelphia’s homeless animals,” Michelle said. “The work they do every single day changes lives, and we’re honored to stand beside them—and the many generous donors who made these beautiful spaces possible.”

While Philadoptables’ contribution was only one part of a much larger community effort, the organization is proud to invest in projects that create lasting change for both animals and the people who care for them.

For more than 15 years, Philadoptables has remained committed to filling the gaps where help is needed most—providing medical grants, supporting local shelters and rescues, assisting community pet owners, funding lifesaving initiatives, and creating opportunities that improve the quality of life for animals waiting for their second chance.

Because every dog deserves more than a kennel.

Every dog deserves the chance to run, to play, to heal, and to be seen.

Two Years of Giving: Junior Woman’s Club of Springfield

Thanks to two years of dedication, fundraising, and community support, the Junior Woman’s Club of Springfield has donated an incredible $19,000 to Philadoptables, helping provide lifesaving care and critical resources for animals throughout the Greater Philadelphia region.

The Junior Woman’s Club of Springfield is a volunteer-based civic organization committed to improving the community through service, philanthropy, leadership, and charitable giving. As a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC), the organization supports a variety of local causes and nonprofits through fundraising, volunteerism, and community outreach.

Over the past two years, the members of the Junior Woman’s Club of Springfield selected Philadoptables as one of their fundraising beneficiaries, organizing events and initiatives to raise critical funds for animal welfare programs.

“I am deeply proud of all that the Springfield Woman’s Club has accomplished over the past two years.” Says Kim Padley “In addition to raising funds, we have worked together to collect sheets, towels, blankets, pet food, supplies, and treats for local shelters—contributions that, though simple, have made a meaningful impact. This work has also broadened their understanding of the significant challenges facing animal welfare in our community, particularly in Delaware County, where there is no open-intake shelter and many municipalities offer no services at all.”

The partnership is especially meaningful because Kim Padley, who served as President of the Junior Woman’s Club of Springfield, is also a current member of the Philadoptables Board of Directors. Her dedication to both organizations helped strengthen a shared commitment to serving the community and improving the lives of animals in need.

Founded in 2009, Philadoptables is a Pennsylvania-based nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the Greater Philadelphia region’s most at-risk animals. Through fundraising and community partnerships, Philadoptables provides financial support for medical care, food, emergency assistance, trap-neuter-return programs, and other critical resources for shelters, rescue organizations, and independent caregivers.

The $19,000 donation will directly support these efforts, helping Philadoptables continue its mission of saving and improving the lives of animals throughout the region.

Philadoptables extends its sincere gratitude to every member of the Junior Woman’s Club of Springfield, as well as the volunteers, donors, and supporters who contributed to the success of this two-year fundraising campaign. Their generosity will have a lasting impact on countless animals and the people who care for them.
