Olivia

Our Vice President Diana was reading about this poor sweet dog named Olivia. She was previously adopted from ACCT and just came back in this condition ? She had trouble walking, very squinty and uncomfortable eyes, and a very large abdominal area. Despite all of this, she was extremely sweet and gently took a tiny bit of chicken nuggets from a volunteer’s hand. We immediately offered $250 toward her medical care to a rescue who could take her from ACCT. Helping Hearts & Healing Tails Animal Rescue picked up Olivia and took her to the vet immediately.

Update from her rescue 3/19/20
She has thyroid disease and Cushings disease. She goes back to the vet for more testing to determine which type of Cushings she has. Hopefully once these tests come back and once the meds gets started, we can finally get her feeling a lot better! Best wishes, Olivia!

Animal Crackers

Second Chance Rescue pulled a sweet sick pup from ACCT Philly info foster care so he could get the care he needed for his upper respiratory infection. Turns out Animal Crackers was very sick and stayed at Penn Vet for several days. We donated $300 toward his medical care. Here is a photo of him getting oxygen at the animal hospital and a photo of him three weeks later- fully recovered!

Bronx

Emaciated Bronx had a metal collar embedding in his neck and required urgent surgery to save his life. Delco Dawgs could not let this tiny pup suffer so they pulled him to safety and got him the extensive medical care he needed. We donated $250 toward his care and followed his story for months as he grew stronger and larger! LOL
Fast forward to March 2, 2020 when his new mom shared this photo of Bronx! So happy!
