Dog on Kill List Saved at Last Second and Give a Second Chance at Life

Thank you Sarama Animal Rescue for taking a chance on Doc!

We are honored to donate toward his medical care and hope he feels better soon!

From Sarama Animal Rescue, “Doc was time stamped for ten am this morning at one of our partner shelters. Because a foster stepped up we were able to pull him and he’s safe now ❤️

While he seems stable, it was suspected that he was hit by a car prior to coming to the shelter. Upon examination it was discovered that he has pulmonary contusions and liver injury from his recent hit by car (both of which should resolve without treatment) but his jaw abnormality is old and likely due to ANOTHER blunt force trauma earlier in life.”

UPDATE – January 31, 2023 “Doc has to go back to the vet yesterday and spend the day there. He stopped eating and wouldn’t take his meds and his fever went back up. Thankfully his fever went down and he started to eat again. The staff got him some chicken nuggets which he loved. We are hoping he continues to eat as take meds orally and continues to feel better. The vet said the next step would be for him to see an internal medicine specialist. We have an appt early March but are on a cancellation list as we hope to get him soon earlier. If he starts to decline we will take him through the ER.

He’s getting lost of TLC from his foster family and is very much loved. We want to thank everyone who donated so far for Doc. We really appreciate your help. We want to give a special thank you to @philadoptables for a $400 medical grant that will help with the costs of Doc’s medical care ❤️❤️❤️“
