Philadoptables was proudly recognized with the Dogs’ Best Friend Award by the Philadelphia Kennel Club during this year’s National Dog Show ceremonies at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA. This distinguished award celebrates the organization’s 16 years of dedication to improving the lives of homeless, ill, and injured animals throughout the Greater Philadelphia region.
Honoring 16 Years of Impact
Since its founding, Philadoptables has supported shelters, rescue groups, and community caretakers by providing critical resources such as medical funding, food and supplies, TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) assistance, and awareness efforts for adoptable pets. The nonprofit’s hands-on approach and unwavering commitment have made it a trusted lifeline for thousands of animals in need.
As part of the award, Philadoptables received a $5,000 donation to further its mission of providing compassionate, lifesaving support to pets and the people who care for them. The organization attributes this achievement to its volunteers, supporters, and community partners whose dedication makes this work possible.

A Celebration Rooted in Community
“We are deeply grateful to be recognized with the Dogs’ Best Friend Award,” shared the Philadoptables Board. “This honor belongs to our volunteers, rescue partners, and the entire community that stands behind our work. Their commitment allows us to continue helping the animals who need us most.”
The Dogs’ Best Friend Award is presented annually to an individual or organization that demonstrates exceptional leadership in animal welfare and inspires compassion throughout the region. Philadoptables’ long-standing impact and devotion to community-driven rescue initiatives made them the standout choice for 2025.
A Memorable Weekend at the National Dog Show
The National Dog Show weekend welcomed more than 2,000 dogs and thousands of visitors to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center. Guests enjoyed breed showcases, agility demonstrations, shopping, educational exhibits, and family-friendly activities celebrating the human–animal bond.
