Sweet Sugar Gets Lifesaving Care

When our friends at Side Paws posted a plea to help sweet Sugar, we knew we wanted to help and donate $400 towards her care. “Sugar is an incredibly sweet 11 year old senior in our program. She has multiple concerning masses (including a very uncomfortable one in her ear) that need to be removed and biopsied. We must raise $585 to help cover the cost or we’ll have to delay surgery until the next available opening in November. Please donate and share. Every little bit helps and this girl deserves some relief. Donate Venmo: sidepaws #progressthroughpartnership“

Feel better, Sugar!

$5,000 Donation to City of Elderly Love: Save a Senior Pet

This spring City of Elderly Love: Save a Senior Pet launched Let’s Stay Home – a program to help senior pets stay in their loving homes. Philadoptables is proud to support this amazing program with a $5,000 donation! In the past pet owners without medical funding may have had to surrender their pets.

This program provides other options and has already helped several pets!

Bella Gets A Second Chance At Life

Recently, a good samaritan found Bella in need of help and TLC. “I know this group is for cats but I really need help, some homeless man was walking around with this dog earlier trying to get $100 for her so I offered him what I had for her because I could already see she was in bad condition, her back paw was bandaged, when I took her home two of her paws were still very matted and the paw that was bandaged was soaked, took the bandage off and her paw is raw flesh and bloody. I don’t have the money to treat her and I’m scared to take her to the shelter because of her medical issues, is there any rescues I can reach out to that might be willing to help me?”

Bella was able to get an appointment at Philadelphia Animal Hospital and turned out to be the sweetest dog! Estimated to be 4-5 years old, Bella had her wound cleaned, got vaccinations, pain medication, and antibiotic shots. We were honored to cover her entire medical bill to ensure she is happy and healthy!

Sweet Churchill Needed Medical Care

When a concern owner reached out for help in Philly Cat Rescuers, feline lovers stepped right into action!

“Sadly I have to surrender my poor cat. His name is Churchill. He’s sick and I cannot pay for a vet. I do not want to give him up but he has a better chance at a happier healthy life if someone can take him. He’s 4 yrs old, VERY lovable, great with kids, dogs, and other cats. I love him very very much and this breaks my heart. But I have to think about him and not my own feelings.”

Keeping pets in happy and healthy in homes, keeps pets out of shelters so we were happy to cover all of Churchill’s medical fees! Feel better, sweet boy!

Loving Cat Gets Lifesaving Dental Care

When our friends at Porch Kitty Manor shared the story about Precious, a loving cat in need of dental care, we knew exactly how to help! From PKM, “This is Precious. Her human contacted me in tears because she was drooling, not eating & losing weight. Pets for Life gave her a wellness exam & updated her vaccines. Thanks to PKM donations, I was able to set her up with canned food so she could eat without pain & drooling. Today we went to The Bridge Clinic for a dental & bloodwork. She’s on antibiotics & soft food until we can schedule a dental extraction.”

Update: “She had her dental yesterday The Bridge Clinic. Because of her age & weight loss, we had bloodwork drawn prior to surgery. As a result the doctor placed a catheter & ran fluids during surgery. This added an extra $100 to the original $935 estimate. However, thanks to your donations and a generous gift from Philadoptables her bill was paid in full! Her thyroid issue that will be followed up on in 4 weeks, but so far she is doing well.“

Feel better soon, Precious!
