Last week, a heartwarming request reached us from a family in Bucks County. Their beloved 4-year-old Cane Corso, Dolly, faced a medical situation of a cataract in her eye. The pressure behind the damaged eye was escalating, posing risks of further complications or rupture.
The family, who adores Dolly, sought help for her eye removal surgery. However, the estimates they received were prohibitively high.
Dolly’s story touched our hearts, and even though her condition didn’t precisely align with the intended purpose of the “Lilly’s Legacy” medical fund, we knew we had to help! The family’s love for Dolly radiated through their words. Dollys mom, Michelle, shared with a smile on her face, that Dolly’s favorite time of day is when she watches out the window for the school bus. She eagerly greets her favorite little humans as they arrive home, becoming a neighborhood ambassador for other children as well.
With the help of our friends at The Bridge Clinic in Bensalem, Dolly received the crucial eye surgery she needed last week. We’re thrilled to report that she’s recovering wonderfully.
Our privilege lies in assisting pets like Dolly, ensuring they receive the care they deserve. If you’d like to join us in supporting more animals in need, consider contributing to the Lilly’s Legacy Medical Fund. Your generosity can make a significant difference!
