Lost Pup Finds Help

In a beautiful act of compassion, a police officer found and took in a stray dog in need. Instead of turning a blind eye or simply passing by, this officer’s heart swelled with empathy. Recognizing the vulnerability of the lost pup, he made a decision that would change both of their lives forever—he chose to care for her.

When it came time for the dog’s check-up and shots, we stepped in to donate $125 toward her care. It’s a small gesture with a big impact, showcasing the power of kindness and community.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. 🐾❤️ #KindnessMatters #RescueDog #CommunitySupport

Code Red Willow’s Urgent Rescue

In a world often filled with heartache, there are glimmers of hope that shine brightly through the darkness. Today, we want to shine a spotlight on one such beacon of hope: J&CO Dog Rescue. Their recent heroic efforts in rescuing Willow, a beloved family pet, and ensuring she remained with her family despite the challenges they faced have left us in awe.

When she fell ill with parvovirus, a highly contagious and often deadly disease, her family faced a gut-wrenching decision. With limited financial means to cover the cost of treatment, they surrendered Willow.

Recognizing the bond between Willow and her family, they stepped in to provide the necessary medical care without hesitation. Their commitment to keeping families together and giving every pet a fighting chance is nothing short of remarkable. “We could not let a dog lose it’s life today and especially one who has an owner who cares and loves her. Our intent is to get the medical care Willow needs and to reunite her back with her owner. There are too many homeless dogs in shelters, in rescues, and a strays to not reunite a loving owner and her companion.” – J & Co Rescue Facebook Update

In recognition of their extraordinary work, we donated $400 to assist in covering the costs of Willow’s care and supporting the ongoing efforts of J & Co Dog Rescue. Their compassion knows no bounds, and Willow’s story serves as a poignant reminder of the power of love and community.

Help for Senior Pup, Bugsy

Happy tears alert! Meet Buggsy!

Buggsy was left tied up overnight in front of the PSPCA in Philly 😢. When found, he was immediately brought to ACCT. Buggsy is thought to be 12 years old and is in pretty bad condition- emaciated and having severe dental disease and missing teeth. We messaged our longtime friend and rescuer Beth Gordon of Kodi’s Club Rescue and offered $400 in financial support in case she was considering pulling Buggsy from the shelter. Beth was worried he may be suffering but she dove right in and started getting more info on Buggsy. She found a volunteer to take him to Pennridge Animal Hospital where he got an exam and evaluation.

Beth rushed over to meet Buggsy and as she put it “I looked at his beautiful face, his eyes that showed excitement at his adventure with new friends, his spirit, the nub going a mile a minute, and it sealed the decision for me. Whatever it took, this beautiful boy was going to get his chance. “At the same time a couple reached out to ACCT about him but he had just left. Beth called them and they seem like the perfect people for Buggsy- large breed lovers, senior dog lovers and mom is a vet tech! Can you guess the fairytale ending ? Buggsy is adopted and will live out the remainder of his life being loved to pieces! Thank you, Kodi’s Club! To adopt or donate please visit their website! www.kodisclub.org

Dolly: Lilly’s Legacy Fund Recipient

Last week, a heartwarming request reached us from a family in Bucks County. Their beloved 4-year-old Cane Corso, Dolly, faced a medical situation of a cataract in her eye. The pressure behind the damaged eye was escalating, posing risks of further complications or rupture.

The family, who adores Dolly, sought help for her eye removal surgery. However, the estimates they received were prohibitively high.

Dolly’s story touched our hearts, and even though her condition didn’t precisely align with the intended purpose of the “Lilly’s Legacy” medical fund, we knew we had to help! The family’s love for Dolly radiated through their words. Dollys mom, Michelle, shared with a smile on her face, that Dolly’s favorite time of day is when she watches out the window for the school bus. She eagerly greets her favorite little humans as they arrive home, becoming a neighborhood ambassador for other children as well.

With the help of our friends at The Bridge Clinic in Bensalem, Dolly received the crucial eye surgery she needed last week. We’re thrilled to report that she’s recovering wonderfully.

Our privilege lies in assisting pets like Dolly, ensuring they receive the care they deserve. If you’d like to join us in supporting more animals in need, consider contributing to the Lilly’s Legacy Medical Fund. Your generosity can make a significant difference!
