Our June 3rd & 4th Kitten Showers at ACCT Philly were a huge success! We greeted new volunteers to the program and welcomed back foster parents from years past, sending home 48 kittens, 2 moms with babies and 2 adult cats in need of some TLC. We also hosted games and activities for the kids in attendance and provided snacks!

Philadoptables and M&T Bank sponsored kits full of supplies for new foster parents including food, litter, heating pads, carriers and more.

Once again Philadoptables, along with our rescue friends at Home At Last Dog Rescue, have teamed up and will be walking in the Philadelphia Welcome America July 4th parade! We are looking for volunteers to help us carry the Betsy Ross flag in the parade. The parade starts in Old City around City Hall and is about a mile walk. We usually start around 9am and the parade is over around noon time. We would love to have you join us, as this is always a fun event! Kids are welcome!

You’re invited! To kick off kitten season, Philadoptables, with the help of M & T Bank, is sponsoring a Kitten Shower at ACCT Philly. All approved cat fosters who take home kittens that day will receive an amazing kitten starter kit! We are so excited to ship off a boatload of kittens to foster care during the weekend. Come by to play games, eat, learn about kitten care and take some home that day! We hope you can join in the fun!

Philadoptables is hosting another shelter clean up day on Sunday, June 4th at ACCT Philly, 111 W Hunting Park Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19140 from 10am to 4pm.

Volunteers are needed to spruce up the shelter and some of the tasks will be:

• Weed, refresh, and replant the front flower bed
• Pick up trash on whole property
• Check and spot repairs to fencing where needed
• Assemble new bench
• Put out new pools
• Put up 10 x 10 canopies in the runs
• Put new trash cans in the runs

Philadoptables, in partnership with Best Friends Animal Society, Project M.E.O.W., and the Granny Project, has sponsored THREE recent events to help out Philadelphia’s community cats this winter!

On October 16th, 2016, at ACCT Philly’s Hunting Park campus and again on December 3rd, 2016, at the Beaumont Warehouse, cat lovers from all over Philadelphia came together to learn how to build shelters for their outdoor four-legged friends. Over 200 shelters were built and taken back to the community by workshop attendees. These shelters provide outdoor cats with a safe, warm home during inclement weather and are critical to their survival during the cold winter months.

Additionally on January 16th, 2017, more than 50 cat lovers came together at ACCT Philly on MLK Day of Service to construct 50+ additional shelters for Philadelphia’s homeless cats. It was another really great day for community cats, caretakers, trappers and community service volunteers.

Hooray for warm kitties!
