Nine Dollars for Nine Lives

Philadoptables  is joining with the Best Friends Animal Society’s No More Homeless Pets Initiative to bring the Philadelphia region the “Nine Dollars for Nine Lives” adoption event! All cats over the age of 9 months will be available for adoption for ONLY $9 for 9 days, from November 10th to 18th!
Get ready to feel 9 times the love at this adoption event! Did you know that when you adopt one cat you save live nine lives? Well, maybe not quite. But you are saving at least two, because when one homeless cat goes to a new home another lucky cat that’s that cage at the shelter. Saving a cat has never been easier, or more affordable, than during our “$9 for 9 Lives” adoption event, so mark your calendar and come on in!

Camp Out For Hunger 2012

The Camp Out For Hunger event dates for 2012 are Monday, November 26 through Friday, November 30 at the Plymouth Meeting Metroplex. COFH is a free event with hundreds of people stopping by to see The Preston and Steve Show make food and monetary donations and have fun. Please try to attend.

For four weeks prior to this event pet food collection boxes will pepper Philadelphia and its surrounding counties collecting cat and dog food. As always we are looking for places- offices, schools, stores, etc to place collection boxes. Collection boxes, posters, etc. should be in place by about November 1. Donations will be collected and brought to Plymouth Meeting or to the shelter during the week-long event.

Photos of people and their donations can be taken and put on Philadoptables Facebook page and the Philadoptables website. If you guys are picking up the donations let’s try to do the same to recognize businesses and people. Donations will be distributed at the event to rescue groups and foster parents beginning Wednesday, November 28th. Families in need will be able to pick up food Saturday, December 1st at the shelter.

Every person who donates is rooting for Philly’s homeless animals and it is a great venue to find adopters, foster parents, and new volunteers.
