Save the date for Saturday, September 16th and join us for another yard pong tournament! This fundraiser event benefiting Philadoptables is pet friendly and promises to be a fun-filled & entertaining day. There will be musical entertainment and great drink specials provided by our sponsors, Fireball and U.S. Beverage. The event kicks off at noon at Crabby Cafe & Sports Bar in The Schmidt’s Commons.

Come to play or just to throw a few cold ones back. This event is open to everyone so please spread the word and invite your friends and bring your pets!

For those who are interested in yard pong but haven’t played, its a combination of basketball and beer pong, and great for any skill level. The cost to play is $60 per team and cash & prizes will be up for grabs for the top teams. There will be at least $500 paid out if and when there are 32 teams signed up. A portion of the proceeds will also be donated to Philadoptables.

6th Annual LOVE POTIONS Fundraiser

Philadoptables’ 6th annual LOVE POTIONS Happy Hour is coming up! Join us on Saturday, February 11th at McFadden’s Saloon Ballpark for a night of fun with friends and awesome raffles. Marilyn Russell of WOGL 98.1 will be hosting with music by Beg, Borrow & Steel. All proceeds go to help Philly’s homeless animals.

Our week collecting pet food with The Preston & Steve Show on 93.3 WMMR was just amazing! Where do I start thanking friends when we have an event that has so many moving pieces?

Do I start with our BOARD- always there for each other- sharing the work, ideas, stress, and kudos? Amazing people with their own jobs, pets, fosters- people who volunteer with the animals on top of all that? Christa, Jeanie, Marta, Diana, and John- you are the best!! Do I start with our CORPORATE PARTNERS? Pet360 who always says YES when we reach out with requests for food for the pet food pantry? With Nonstop Couriers who always say YES when we need pet food transported? Rick, you rock!! With Puro-Tec who helps us with anything and everything? With Pet Valu – US- they say YES any time we need anything! Food, truck, funds- they are a great group of people! With The Preston & Steve Show on 93.3 WMMR who keeps inviting us back, year after year, to collect pet food at their annual people food drive? We have BIG LOVE for these guys!! xoxo With all of YOU? Our online FRIENDS who read and share our posts? Helping spread the word about adoption events, urgent animals, the need for donated food, and everything else? Who helped by donating pet food for the hungry babies? We are so very touched and appreciative to ALL of you. Thank you for being amazing advocates for Philly’s animals in need! Our amazing rescue partners who save the lives of animals every day at ACCT Philly! Over 20 rescue partners were able to stock up on food for their fosters so they can continue to do the fabulous work they do! Lastly- our VOLUNTEERS are just the BEST! They arrange their schedules so they can volunteer year after year, event after event to help Philly’s homeless animals with us.

Our soft estimate of donated food this year is 28,000lbs and we are expecting another LARGE donation next week from Pet Valu. WOW!!!! There are many many families in need that will benefit from all these donations. THANK YOU ALL- you are wonderful! Much love, Michelle

Hi Everyone! We are ready to get down to the business
of feeding hungry pets in need. This year let’s think
BUILDING COMMUNITY! The food drive is about people helping
people and we need every one of you to make this year a
success! We are looking to find companies, schools,
businesses, neighborhoods, scout groups, etc to run pet food
drives of their own during October or November. We can
provide a letter about the food drive and our Treasury
certificate showing Philadoptables non-profit status to get
the ball rolling. We can also help with posters and
transportation of the donated items! Please reach out to
your contacts in the community and let’s identify some
