Rocco the Rottie Saved Just in Time

Our friends at Kodi’s Club sprung into quick action to save dog that was found suffering from heat stroke.

“A Rottie was just found laying in lateral recumbency at a city park and having a heat stroke. ACO was called. He’s in bad shape. Temp was 106, now just under 107. Finding an ER was not easy. Mt Laurel thankfully is taking him. Pray he makes it. They’re calling him Rocco. Danielle is racing him there now. 😢🙏” Kodi’s Club Facebook

After a few days of round-the-clock care, Rocco finally stood up! He has been transferred to a veterinary hospital close to Kodi’s Club volunteers for additional love and care.

Kodi’s Club saved Rocco and we are proud to donate towards his lifesaving care. Our paws are crossed that Rocco feels better soon!

Helping Improve The Quality of Life for Outside Dogs One Sun Shade At a Time

Vito Feels Like A New Man

Our friends at Side Paws were recently contacted about a senior dog in critical need. We just had to help by donating toward his medical care!

From Side Paws “When a client asked if we could help a family member’s senior dog, we didn’t hesitate.

Thanks to Philadoptables, PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society), and Providence Animal Center we got Vito the vet care he desperately needed.

Urgently Needed Sun Shades Donated to Outdoor Animals

We are proud to support and highlight the amazing work Side Paws (previously known as Gimme Shelter Philly) does!

It is emotional. It is physical. It is unending. Please like, follow, support, donate- whatever they need, let’s help them out. Some dog owners walk the line of the law- our friends make life better for these pups left outdoors. Last month, Philadoptables donated tarps to provide life saving shade to outdoor dogs. Thanks to your support, we will continue to help them, help dogs in need.

An update from Side Paws:

“Over the weekend we installed some of the sun shades that were so generously donated by Philadoptables and individual supporters.

Access to shade makes a HUGE difference for dogs that live outside. It can literally be lifesaving. Sheba, Buddy, Phat Boy and the other sweeties (not pictured here) say THANK YOU!”

Support for Finding Shelter Animal Rescue

Finding Shelter Animal Rescue volunteers save puppy mill dogs quite frequently. Recently, the request for more mill dog surrenders has increased and they have not let any dog in need sit and wait for a safe place to land. Together with their trusted rescue partners across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, they have saved nearly 400 puppy mill dogs in less than nine months.

Pennsylvania dogs are their priority and they are so thankful to have a network to help save those who have spent their lives breeding for profit. They continue to support and work to see the passage of Victoria’s Law in Pennsylvania.

Philadoptables appreciates all that Finding Shelter Animal Rescue does to give these puppy mill pups a chance to live their best life and we are happy to make a donation to assist with their unexpected vet bills for these rescues.
