Build Winter Shelters for Cats!

Build insulated winter shelters for outdoor cats. Last year, over 100 homes were made and nearly 150 people came out. Let’s top that. All supplies are provided. $10 per shelter to make and take. Or, make and leave behind for someone else. Also, no one will be turned away, scholarships available!

Drinking beer and raising money for animals – what could be better?!

Join us for a fun-filled fall afternoon in Old City to raise money for Philly’s homeless animals on Saturday, October 13th.

The Pup Crawl will kick off with check in at noon at The Plough & the Stars located on S 2nd Street.

The Pubs will be donating back 15% of the profit from food and drink our Pup Crawlers spend and will be running food and drink specials just for our participants

100% of the funds we raise supports and funds much needed food supplies, medical supplies and upkeep for ACCT PHILLY – the Phila animal intake shelter as well as the rescues that pull homeless animals from there.

Pup Crawl Ticket

Help us CLEAN UP the shelter!

Philadoptables is hosting another shelter clean up day on Saturday, June 16th at ACCT Philly, 111 W Hunting Park Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19140 from 10am to 2pm.

Volunteers are needed to spruce up the shelter and some of the tasks will be:

  • Weed, refresh, and replant the front flower bed
  • Pick up trash on the property
  • Check and spot repairs to fencing where needed
  • Make treats for dogs
  • Put out new pools
  • Put up 10 x 10 canopies in the runs
  • Clean out crates and carriers
  • And much more

Make a difference for the homeless animals with us! Drinks and snacks will be provided.

Help us celebrate our 7 year anniversary!

February 9, 2018 was our 7 year anniversary as a non-profit. In celebration, we decided to give donations to 7 local rescues.

We asked the public to share their rescue stories to help in our decision making and the response was overwhelming! We laughed and we cried while reading these stories. From hurt and homeless to happy and loved, these dogs, cats, horses, and other creatures are alive due to the dedication of these amazing rescues. The Philly area rescue community is a strong one!

This was such a difficult decision that we decided to contribute to 13 rescues instead!

Join us for a Winter Cat Shelter Workshop!

We invite everyone out to learn to construct simple, insulated shelters for cats that live outside. All materials will be provided and the workshop is free to attend. If you want to take home the shelter you build, there is a $10 materials fee (scholarships available).

Together, we can keep cats warm this season!
