Mama Marnie and Her Four Kittens

In a heartwarming display of compassion and community support, a dedicated cat advocate, Allison, rescued a family of sweet cats that were abandoned at a local community cat colony she manages.

Mama Marnie, a beautiful calico, and her four precious kittens found themselves without a home until Allison stepped in to provide them with love, care, and a promising future.

Allison was determined to give them the chance they deserved and we were pleased to donate toward their care. The entire family was provided essential vaccinations, thorough health checks, and tests to ensure they were free from any underlying health issues. They were also dewormed, guaranteeing that they would have a clean bill of health before beginning their search for forever homes.

Mama and her sweet babies, once abandoned and alone, now have a bright future and are searching for rescue placement—all thanks to, Allison, and the kind-hearted community that rallied to support them.

Peace, Love and Poms

When our friends at Peace Love and Paws Rescue met Benji Lee – they couldn’t turn away from his emergent needs. We donated $350 toward sweet Benji Lee’s care and hope he feels better son!

From PFPR, “He filled the entire room with the smell of infection, and he is in severe pain. His case is complicated and needs the expertise of the dentist team, but they are not available until Monday. A soft muzzle will be applied to stabilize his jaw, bloodwork will be run, and massive amounts of pain medication will be administered as well as antibiotics through the weekend. Our hope is to fix this 12 pound boy, and we need your help to do it!“

“We can’t afford it, but we have an emergency intake happening NOW! The Philadelphia Humane Law Enforcement Team just saved this poor boy, and the SPCA reached out because he needs emergency care NOW,” said PLPR, “Our volunteers are currently in route to pick him up and take him directly to the specialty ER. He has a fractured lower jaw and is in severe pain. The shelter administered pain medication and are keeping him calm until our arrival. This boy cannot wait for care, and that means it will be a higher cost using the specialist vet. Please help us get this boy pain relief and the care he needs today!”

Update: “Our emergency intake, Benji Lee, is admitted with our favorite specialty ER. His lower jaw is dislocated with several areas of fractures. He filled the entire room with the smell of infection, and he is in severe pain. His case is complicated and needs the expertise of the dentist team, but they are not available until Monday. A soft muzzle will be applied to stabilize his jaw, bloodwork will be run, and massive amounts of pain medication will be administered as well as antibiotics through the weekend. Our hope is to fix this 12 pound boy, and we need your help to do it! Our estimate currently stands at $7000 but could be more if he needs specialized imaging like a CT scan. The vet feels his dental disease weakened his jaw, and he may have gotten stuck, and the damage was the result of him pulling his face free. This isn’t a fresh injury and is at least a few days old. Either way, he is safe and in the absolute best care to keep him comfortable.”

Pet Food Pantry Support: Helping Families In Need

We are excited to be able to support Citizens for a No-kill Philadelphia and Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) at their pet pantry event last weekend in Northern Liberties! We were able to donate several hundred pounds of cat food for families in need thanks to a grant from Cares, Finance of America. Food and supplies distributed today are vital for families who have trouble making ends meet. Together we can do more! #teamwork #community
